Weigh-In, First Bowflex Workout and I'm Sick
Weekly weigh-in: 516 lbs.
Loss: -4 lb.
Total loss: 116 lbs.
Emotion: okay
I had a decent weigh in. I didn’t exercise a lot last week because of back pain.
Here’s a pic from my first Bowflex workout:
I hope you have a great week. I know I will.
Good Weigh-In
Weekly weigh-in: 520 lbs.
Loss: -6 lb.
Total loss: 112 lbs.
Emotion: pleased
I look forward to this week. All soreness is gone from my workouts and I have a new gym membership. This week I plan on walking and working out everyday.
I’m expecting a double-digit loss next week, but I am very pleased with this week.
I also want to say a big THANK YOU to the folks that made a donation to Make-A-Wish yesterday. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
I also reduced my fund raising goal to the requested $1300.00 – I’ve got enough to stress over right now (walking these 4 races and losing 300 pounds), so I don’t want to have to worry about raising $6700. I have big ambitions but sometimes I’m too ambitious.
I’m excited about the upcoming 5k Race for the Cure. I should be in the 400’s by then. There’s just four more weigh-ins until the race.
Yesterday, I watched the NASCAR race with my buddy Bob and his little cutie Lola. Here’s a pic of Lola:
Have a great week!
Weigh In & First Walk with Dream Team
Weekly weigh-in: 526 lbs.
Loss: -10 lb.
Total loss: 106 lbs.

Alright, I’m back on track. Last week was a great week!
- Run/Walk at your own pace. Speed is not important. Remember the Tortoise and the Hare.
- Keep your eye on your goal (finish the half marathon)
- The 1st week you should walk/run 4-6 days, and you should walk 1/8 mile, then jog 1/8 mile until you have put in one mile. Then walk 1/4 mile to cool down.
- Rest at least one day! Don’t run 7 days a week!
- Shoes are ultra important. 95% of injuries can be prevented by having the correct shoes. If your shoes are older than three months, get new shoes. Also, get RUNNING shoes. It’s best to go to a store like The Track Shak. They will analyze your walk to determine the best shoes for you. Mention Danny’s program for a 10% discount at Track Shak.
- It’s always good to have a carrot for running. Our carrot was free beer/water. That’s our motivation.
Check out Danny Haralson’s blog at http://blog.rununiversity.com/ – Danny has run over 50 marathons and he is a certified running coach. He has an excellent program at http://www.rununiversity.com/
As we started the walk for our training, Danny told me that he’s gonna time my lap. I walked the entire 1/4 mile lap instead of alternating walking and jogging. I walked the 1/4 mile in 6 minutes, and put in another 6 minute 1/4 mile.
Danny told me to alternate my walking distances every day. For example, day one walk one mile, day two walk half a mile, day three walk 1.4 miles. This way my body won’t know what distance I’m gonna walk. It’ll be fooled into thinking that every walk’s gonna be a long walk. This will burn max calories per walk.
I’ll be walking every day and working out every day. (Of course I will have a rest day)
Everyone loves having the beer as the carrot for out group runs. Of course, I drink the water because I’ve got that big carrot in April next year. Do you have a carrot?
Weigh In Day
Weekly weigh-in: 536 lbs.
Loss: + 4 lb.
Total loss: 96 lbs.
Emotion: relieved
Considering all of the bad sh*t I ate this weekend, a four pound gain was not bad.
I’ve already got my mile walk in this morning, and I’m about to workout.
Here’s to a good week.

100 lb Loss Milestone
My weight is down to 532 lbs, which is a loss of 4 pounds for the week and a total loss of 100 lbs. It feels good to reach this milestone. Now I’m ready to get out of the 500 club!
First, I want to thank you for reading my blog. Next, a big thank you goes out to everyone following and commenting on the blog. I wouldn’t have been able to do this without your help. I have never stayed on a weight loss plan this long, nor have I ever had this much success. I am eternally grateful to all of you.
Even my blogosaurus is throwing a party.
This has made my Monday.
Have a good week!
P.S. Just 200 more to go till Dega!
P.S. #2: Here’s some new progress pics (I bought the shirt, tie, and belt just for this pic)
Wow: This week's weigh-in
Weekly weigh-in: 536 lbs.
Loss: 19 lb.
Total loss: 96 lbs.
Emotion: happy
All that work last week paid off. I kept my sodium at 1700 mg per day or less (or I tried to keep it as close to that as I could.)
I’m ready to knock out another good week.
Next week I should be at the 100+ pound loss milestone. I am excited.
Have a great week.

Loss: gained 1 lb.
Total loss: 77 lbs.
Emotion: okay
(Jack Sh*t, I liked the way you formatted your weigh-in post, so I copied it. I hope you don’t give a sh*t.)
Gained another pound last week, but it was expected. Next week there should be a good loss because I am following my new plan.
I hope you have a killer week!

Lousy Weigh In
This morning I weighed in at 553 pounds. Which is a gain of a pound from last week. I feel that my food was okay. It could have been better. My one valid excuse is that I signifincantly increased my exercise and workouts. So, maybe I gained some muscle.
Another factor in this might be that I ran out of Thyroid meds. So I ended up skipping one day. Maybe that played a role in this.
I am going to reevaluate what I’m eating, and I may need to really start measuring my food. (count calories, weigh food, measure portions, etc.)
My South Beach Diet book should be in by the end of the week.
Maybe next week, my weight will start to decrease.
As far as the exercise is concerned, I have a whole lot more energy, and when I look in the mirror, I can tell that my neck and chest have gone done more. So maybe the added muscle is why I’m not losing 5-6 pounds a week. It may jump back up to that next week.
Don’t worry, I’m not gonna stop exercising or dieting.
It’s gonna be a long week. Dammit.
Weigh In
Today, I weighed in at a whopping 553 pounds. A 2 pound loss from last week. Which is fine. I only exercised one day because my legs were sore. This morning I have already been to the gym and had a great work out. I am gonna knock out a fantastic week, this week.
I’m looking forward to the 5k in Feb. I just love staying motivated. To me, it’ better than feeling down in the dumps all of the time.
I hope you have a great week.
