Hi there, I’m still alive.
My weight is starting to move in the correct direction, and I’ve started seeing Sonthe and (starting this Thursday) Dan again. My eating is (for the most part) good… Still have some binging going on, but (for now) it seems under control. I’m very pleased with my exercise! Sonthe has me walking an hour per day, but I usually put in 30-45 minutes. I’m also training with Sebastian at work, which I am very pleased at our progress. We’re taking things slow and easy with body weight exercises, stretching, and a lot of core work.
My back is doing well. There is pain from the walking, but very little numbness. I’m taking things slow and easy, and working through the pain.
School is going well… I’m taking college algebra, and so far, things have been easy, but we’re about to get into problems that require a lot of time and attention to work. Time to kick in self-discipline.
Work is going well. It’s awesome gaining a social life, making new friends, and having a steady paycheck. Every day I wake up, and I’m thankful for St. Vincent’s and the team that I work with. Members occasionally catch me off guard, mentioning that they have seen me on TV or they read my blog. They are always positive about it. My first priority right now is to get my weight down and back rehabilitated. I do hope to work on some weight loss projects at work in the future, however, it might not happen until I get my degree, which will take a little while (3-4 years.) Also, right now I don’t feel motivational seeing that I’ve have a tough time this past year. I’m taking things slow and easy right now.
There, I just wanted to give you a quick update and let you know that I’m still here.

Losing weight must have been hard Stephen but I bet you can do it. You really are well disciplined that you made all the way there. Keep it up! And yes, take it slow and easy. After you see the results all your efforts will be worth it. You’re an inspiration.
Yay Stephen! You did have a rough year last year… but remember, when you are at the bottom there is no place to go but up! You’re headed that direction…
Weight loss is extremely hard. I was wondering if you take multivitamins? I used to have a binging problem too, but then I realize that my body wasn’t getting all the nutrients/calories it needed on the diet so I started to take some vitamins and it really helps. I am also trying to lose weight and after reading your blog it has really been an inspiration to me. Here’s to a brand new year! Cheers.
I also advocate vitamins!! Not only did I heal my thyroid issues through correct vitamins and nutrition but I also lost weight and cured my rheumatoid arthritis! Vitamins are key Stephen!

Always thinking about you, my friend. Slow and steady—I’m right there with you…
Glad to hear it — simple is DEFINITELY not the same as easy.
So happy to get this update from you….so positive and self-confident again. This is when you succeed the most. I think attitude is everything and you have IT!. When I think about how God provided this wonderful job for you….right place, right time. You inspire so many of us!!
Slow and steady wins the race very time
I love what you are doing with Sebastian – sounds like a great plan! Good on you for tackling school. At any age, it is well worth it to gain knowledge and broaden your horizons. It sounds like everything is going in the right direction, even if it is not at a pace you’d like, but if you stick with slow and steady, you’ll be crossing the finish line before you know it, and with lifelong good habits in place. So glad to hear from you again
When we get more healthy, it is easy to get wrapped up in “real life” things – that we just didn’t do before!
Love how well you are doing in school!
