Thoughts:

I am surprised at the 3 lbs loss. I really thought that I was going to have a significant gain.

Good news: I tried out my new CPAP machine last night, and I feel great today!!

So, I’ve been thinking. Remember I said that I was going to give up running for a while? Well, I believe that was over-reacting a bit. So, I’m still undertrained for the Mercedes Half, but I’m well trained for the 5KBR the day prior to the Mercedes. Thus, I’ll run that race.

I believe that my latest episode of weight gain was related to the CPAP problem. I believe the new automatic CPAP machine will resolve that issue.

Upon reflection of my latest weight gain, I did a decent job of realizing that a problem exists and took steps to resolve the problem. Those steps were: A. Go to the doctor B. Buy a new CPAP machine — Purchasing the $450 auto adjusting CPAP machine was lower priced than a new sleep study ($2000+)…

“There is only one reason why businesses fail: BAD MANAGEMENT.” <– A quote from my economics class from long ago. I’ve been poorly managing my day to day (weight loss) operations, but I believe all systems will be back to 100% in a couple of days.

Very glad to hear this. Also happy you are running in that 5K. You seem to really enjoy running and I think (not that it matters what I think) that you would feel worse in the long run (no pun intended) if you give it up.

A good night’s sleep can change your entire outlook on life, I know that much. If you are sleeping better, that’s a BIG checkmark in the “good” column. :-)

Definitely do the 5k — you’ll feel GREAT for doing it, and between the running and more satisfying sleep, and more sunlight as the days get longer, you’ll be chasing those blues away.

I’m so glad to see this improved attitude today! A good night’s sleep can work wonders for your outlook. And congrats on the loss. I’m hoping for a similar one come Sunday.

And stress the 'success' part. A positive attitude can change every situation for the better.
