Last night’s sleep was not good. I woke up twice in the middle of the night. As a result, I will be a zombie today. B – R – A – I – N – S….
My whole fatigue issue might be sleep related.
Today, I will call around and get pricing info for sleep studies… I looked at the pre existing insurance program that I told you about yesterday, and it’s not such a great deal. The premium is $225ish a month with a yearly deductible of $2000. A sleep study and blood work will be around $2000 (worst case) soooo, I’ll just save up the necessary money instead of throwing it away on premiums. I know I don’t have coverage for emergencies, but for the moment I’m willing to take that risk.
I could cry and say “woe is me”, but that doesn’t pay the bills. It’s time for action on my part. I’m gonna make it happen.

If just missing one night of good sleep messes you up that much, you really should save up and have the sleep study done again. I haven’t slept a full night of sleep in about a year (i have a wee baby) I work full time and take care of two kids, like a lot of Moms. Am I at my best tired like this? No. But I can function. I think you probably have more going on than just missing a night or two of sleep. I really think it’s worth the investment to get yourself thouroughly checked out like you said. I miss sleep. I really do. It screws with you. I hope that it’s something you can resolve quickly. Best of luck to you!
Glad you’re blogging more again!
My husband just had 2 sleep studies done at Princeton. The first to find out he had sleep apnea, the 2nd so they could try him on the sleep study. So, keep that in mind that you might actually end up having to do two! Each of his were right around $2,500. He did one at Princeton, and one at the Baptist Health complex off 150 that is associated w/ Princeton. Hope this info helps!
I think it is really important to get checked out.
Is it possible you need a new mask for your machine?
Yoqu smith want to consider the insurance before getting the sleep study. You can then get help with anything else that might come up this year because your deductible will be met. Check the fine print. It might be a good deal.
Before you drop 2k on that sleep study, I would recommend this –
