I’d love a gym membership to anytime because it’s getting oppressively hot outside and I keep making excuses not to workout.

Madeline June 27, 2011 at 2:14 pm

I am moving to a new city and just signed a lease at an apartment that is right next to any Anytime Fitness!!! Have just gotten really into working out and want to keep it up! A free year-long membership would definitely help me do that!!!

mk June 27, 2011 at 11:44 am

I am in desperate need of some gym time and one with 24/7 access would appease the night owl in me. :)

Laura Gallitz June 27, 2011 at 10:12 am

I would love to win! I’ve lost 14 pounds so far but don’t have time or cash for a gym membership right now. If I could go any time (and for free), I think I would feel like I have time! You know how awesome working out makes you feel – I think I’d be a better mom, wife, and employee if I went to the gym regularly. Congrats on all you’ve done. You inspire all of us.

Crystal W June 27, 2011 at 9:47 am

I’d love to win the gym membership. I need motivation to lose my excess weight and depression really isn’t helping me feel compelled to do anything about it. If I had a membership, I’d use it and wouldn’t get bored (which is another problem I have…lol).

Slimmin' Sam June 27, 2011 at 8:12 am

I sent a tweet about this.

Slimmin' Sam June 27, 2011 at 8:11 am

Lord knows I am trying to get back into the game. After having gone to a consult for weight loss surgery, I really need to get more motivation.

There is an anytime fitness down the street from me and it would be great to have access to workout machines and weights anytime of the day.

annie June 26, 2011 at 10:21 pm

Hi! I would love the membership because i have paid for a membership and training for the last 6 months, and I still have some weight to lose, but I am finding it harder to afford the gym. Winning the membership would really help me continue to make health and weight loss a priority.

Laura June 26, 2011 at 9:33 pm

Hey, I love anytime fitness and need to get in shape for summer!

Kadie June 26, 2011 at 9:17 pm

I would LOVE to win a gym membership! I’ve been working out for months, but I have no equipment. Haha. There’s an Anytime Fitness within walking distance of my house, too!

Kevin G June 26, 2011 at 8:52 pm

Stephen you truly have been an inspiration to get my lazy butt out of bed and go PT! But I’m still to lazy to go to the gym so best of luck to the winner!

I subscribe via e-mail. :)

I would love a gym membership because I am training for my very first half-marathon, and doing so in the hot Texas sun outdoors is NOT fun. This sort of thing would give me access to an indoor environment where I could train on a treadmill or elliptical and become a stronger, fitter woman.

Kenlie June 26, 2011 at 8:15 pm

I’d love to win because I need a new gym membership beginning in August. I’m halfway to my goal too! Yay! Working out at Anytime Fitness would be great, and it would be awesome to have one less thing to pay for (that I will, in fact, pay for) during my move. =)

Peace, love and elliptical…….best of luck to everyone!

Jenny June 25, 2011 at 9:00 pm

I would love to win this contest! I just moved to a new state and had to cancel my old gym membership, so this would give me a chance to join something new here. I lost over 40 pounds last year and I need a way to continue to maintain that weight loss. Thanks for the contest!

Brenda June 25, 2011 at 1:34 pm

I also just subscribed!

Brenda June 25, 2011 at 1:34 pm

I didn’t think I had one in my area but I just checked and I do!! I have never had a gym membership so this would be a great way to start.

You are doing amazing!

Kathleen Haller June 25, 2011 at 11:11 am

I have been struggling with losing weight since I was 16. That’s when I had my first child. Now 8 years later I have 4 children and I want to live for them. They are my goal to losing weight. But my husband and I can’t afford a gym membership. I would be so honored if you chose me.

Oh, this is awesome.

I want this gym membership becauseeee…

1) I’m a stay at home mom and it would give me some time to myself to focus on my health/weightloss

2) It’s 24/7 which is a big plus for me since I have kids and my husband’s work schedule to work around

3) I would lovelovelovelove some treadmill running time

4) I need to lose weight, duh! :)

I tweeted your giveaway!

Me So Hongry (Trina) June 24, 2011 at 11:51 pm

Stephen,

Like everyone else, I would love to win this membership. Currently, I do not have a gym home because well, a membership is not in my budget. *break out the violins* I am a single mother of two teenage boys who are eating me out of house and home. Right now, my gym is the park around the corner…IT’S FREE!

If I did win the free membership I would take advantage of the exercise equipment and classes. This is an awesome giveaway!!

jo June 24, 2011 at 11:49 pm

I have looked at their website many times. There is actually an Anytime Fitness in my small town! I have considered joining many times to use their machines, to get out and be social and meet fitness-oriented people. I think a membership would fantastic for those reasons, and to change up my current fitness program.

Jeffery June 24, 2011 at 11:17 pm

I would like a membership because the YMCA closes too early.

I live in Bham, too!! I would love to do some classes at the gym, or maybe just run on a fancy treadmill.

Melyssa June 24, 2011 at 7:20 pm

I go to Anytime Fitness currently, but come July when my contract is up I will probably have to cancel it. I just don’t have the money for it anymore. I have done so well too. I’ve lost around 50 lbs. Sad I may have to do that.

Kris June 24, 2011 at 7:01 pm

I started out at 430-ish pounds. I am down to 255-ish now. I work overnights and my current gym is expensive and not open when I want to/need to work out. I have thought about dropping it since I work an odd schedule but I know I will backslide if I do that and try to just use my wii at home. I need a place to be able to workout in the middle of the night and on holidays etc.

Keep up your amazing work! You truly are a rockstar!!!

PickMySister June 24, 2011 at 3:10 pm

My sister was over 300 lbs. She has recently joined WW with me and has lost over 20 lbs. I have an anytime fitness a mile away and she wants to join to lose even faster to lose even more. I know if she wins she will stick with it. I will also join to make sure she does. She is my only sister and I want her around for a very long time. She has a heart of gold and we are both suffering with health problems as we have grown older and now is the time for a whole new thinner and healthier life. u are truly an inspiration and what a way to play it forward and inspire someone else!!

Jessica June 24, 2011 at 2:27 pm

I would love a free membership — just getting back on my feet after being unemployed for a year.

About 10 years ago I learned to love exercise, lost 70#’s, and ran a marathon. I thought I *knew* it all, but I didn’t and have put back on 50#’s. Now is my time to get back to feeling fit & awesome! And quite possibly another marathon.

Br'er Aaron McCullough June 24, 2011 at 2:19 pm

I am ready to do the work, I don’t need to be inspired to do so, your example has already inspired me. I’ve used to be a reluctant gym rat. While I never enjoyed my time in fitness facilities, I can almost remember what it was like to be fitter, to feel fit, to be stronger, more agile, and to reflect the confidence people showed me for my physical self. I am not longer fit. I yearn to be fit again. I am ready to do the work.

Patricia June 24, 2011 at 2:10 pm

Steven, what a great story. I am so proud of you. You are an inspiration to so many.
I would love a membership to Anytime Fitness to aid in my weight loss journey. I started my battle with weight loss in January 2008. At that time I weighed 430 pounds. I lost 82 pounds by watching what I ate and walking daily. Somehow I lost my motivation and started to put pound back on. I started my journey again in April 2011, weighing 410 pounds. I have lost 20 pounds so far. I know that if I could afford to go to the gym it would help me get some cardio and strength training. Stay encouraged Steven and be blessed.

Nancy June 24, 2011 at 1:33 pm

Stephen, I am actually already a member and I too have struck out on a journey to lose a large amount of weight. I would like the membership to be able to afford more sessions with my trainer. I find the help he gives me invaluable. Keep up the great work. I am looking forward to following your blog.

Congrats on the new blogging adventure :)

This would be perfect as there is one located close to me and normal gym hours don’t really work for me since I get out of work so late. I’d LOVE to have this to help me in my weight loss challenge!

delia June 24, 2011 at 12:44 pm

I’ve been following your blog ever since you ran the Mercedes Half and have been very impressed. I was excited to read your post on the Anytime Fitness blog today. Anytime Fitness is pretty awesome. Their equipment is up to date, and the 24h access is great too. My local Anytime Fitness even has fitness classes on demand, which is especially awesome because I love spinning. However, the downside is the cost, so I would love to win a year’s membership. Thanks!

Lap Band Gal June 24, 2011 at 12:44 pm

I want a gym membership to maintain my 112 lb weight loss that I have achieved. Please pick me, thanks! :)

Vicki M. June 24, 2011 at 12:19 pm

Now I’ve subscribed.

Vicki M. June 24, 2011 at 12:16 pm

Steven, I want a gym membership because I have struggled with my weight my entire adult life. In December of 2009 I kind of woke up, started a blog and have been trying to get my weight down since then. I’ve had some success, but not as much as I’d like. I have had a big set back… gained back most of the weight I’d lost and just in the past few weeks have started once again to lose it. I think a gym membership would really give me the tools I need to make it happen. I do what I can on my own, with workout Wii games (Biggest Loser Challenge and Wii Fit), and with exercise videos, going for walks, starting to job in short bursts on my walks, and of course watching what I eat. Having the right equipment to really work out would help me a lot… but on my own I can’t afford it. My husband is getting laid off, and I am losing my highest paying client this month (I clean houses for a living, and my best paying customer is moving out of state.) It is hard to eat healthy from a food bank, but I’m doing the best I can. I gym membership would really, really help me out.
I think I’ve subscribed before, but if not I will today.

Deb Hiebert June 24, 2011 at 12:14 pm

I LOVE lifting weights, but have gotten away from it (and regular cardio), so have gained back 40 of my 90 pound weight loss. Siiiiigggghhh. I work in the same town as an Anytime Fitness, so could work out before work (that is great for me to be consistent) and would love to try Anytime Fitness!

Valerie June 24, 2011 at 12:10 pm

Wow, what a great prize! I would love to win this membership – I have always wanted to join a gym, but have never been able to afford it. I’m lucky enough to have one of these in walking distance!

Michele Parr June 24, 2011 at 12:08 pm

You really do have a prize! I thought you were kidding. ;-)

Way to keep going through the heat and humidity. If you can keep up the running now, you’re set for life.

Jennifer L. June 24, 2011 at 11:28 am

Stephen, I would love to win this membership. i visited the Anytime fitness by my house and it is amazing. i was going to sign up but it just cost way too much for me. I am a single working mother of 3 kids and i just can’t afford it right now. I have been doing what i can to eat right and walk on all my breaks at work and yes it helped a little, i have lost but not as much as i would like. i do what I can to lose but it goes away and keeps coming back. and i know this membership will help me out a lot. i will be more in focus to lose the wieght i need to lose min of 53 pounds to be where i want to be and it is hard when all i am able to do is walk. i bought dvd’s they help a littlle but not the same. basicly i just need the time away from my kids to work on me. so hopefully i can win this… thank you for the oppertunity Stephen. . .

Joanna June 24, 2011 at 11:28 am

Wow, what an awesome giveaway! I would love to win because I’m an unemployed recent grad school grad, and it would be a major help since I don’t really have funds to join a gym at the moment. And, I am committed to being a healthier version of me!
Thanks for the giveaway!

Sue Prager June 24, 2011 at 11:17 am

What a way to go! I have just started my journey ( may 1, 2011) at 287 lbs and am at 274 as of this morning. I started with home tapes, a pedometer and a weight loss journal for calorie tracking.
I have a goal of 125 lbs. in 3 years of less. That’s when I turn 50. Even with the small amount I’ve lost my arthritis already is better.
One step, every day can make a difference.
Take care and keep moving. you are an inspiration.

James Dowling June 24, 2011 at 11:10 am

Wow! You have come along way. Hope you continue to healthy. Would love to win the prize as I need to get back into the gym again.

Lindsey J June 24, 2011 at 10:34 am

This would be perfect, as I just got dropped from my school’s gym last month (the bummer of graduating!) and can’t afford to actually buy a membership anywhere. Luckily its summer so outdoor activities are calling, but winter will return before I know it!

Jaime June 24, 2011 at 10:13 am

Wow, What a great prize! I’d love a membership to our local Anytime, I love that place! Working out is such an important part of my weight loss journey. I don’t have the same cravings when I’m working out as I do when I’m being a couch potato!

Michael Nolan June 24, 2011 at 10:08 am

Okay, I was just joking around yesterday but now that I know what the prize is, I REALLY want it! I’ve been dying to get back to the gym and this would be the kick in the pants I need!

MAJOR congrats on the new blogging gig, too. Good stuff!
