Partay Last Night

by Stephen Vinson on September 5, 2010

My alcohol plan didn’t workout very well. At the last moment last night, I changed my mind and purchased beer instead of vodka.  I drank way too much last night, but it doesn’t bother me too much. I’m eating well, getting a lot of exercise, drinking a lot of water, and I won’t be drinking again until my Birthday, which is 3 weeks away.

Hopefully by my birthday I’ll be at the 200 lb loss milestone, and I’ll throw a shindig at Momma G’s. Right now I’ve got my focus on Walk University.  I’ve been walking my two mile loop at the Mountain Brook YMCA every other day. I’ve learned, thanks to Emily, what stretches I need to do after I walk. My calves have been sore and tight. The stretching was the solution to that problem.

So today I have been recovering, ah, I mean relaxing. I’ve been drinking a lot of water and my food has been spot on today. I plan on walking at Danny’s group meet up in the morning.

Have a great Labor Day!!!

Oh, by the way, ROLL TIDE ROLL, college football is back!!!!!

Yeah. . . I am not doing so well with the “drink in moderation” thang. It's easier if I just don't drink at all. Not fun ;) but better.
Happy Sunday dude! I'm ready for some football too-Gig 'em!!!

If you feel like you drank too much, then you could make a plan for the next time. What works for me, is “If you don't buy it, you won't eat it/drink it.” So if I want to have some soda or some food I have problems limiting (peanuts do me in), I just buy a small serving size, or just a can of soda, that way I won't be tempted to consume amounts I will later regret. Most importantly, I buy these foods when I'm full, so I can make realistic decisions. And great news that you've got some good stretches. Calf stretches will also prevent you from getting shin splints.
