I have a boost of self-confidence from yesterday. It’s funny how slipping a little every day leads to not-so-desirable results, then I start to lose confidence in myself. Now the self-confidence meter has been reset to one-hundred and I’m ready to rock the scale and rock the workouts.
Tomorrow morning I am gonna try something new. I will prepare and measure all of my food for the day in the morning. Oops, except for lunch. I am meeting a couple of folks for lunch. I will order a salad at the restaurant. Anyway, I will measure out my snacks and supper. This way I’ll know in the morning what my food intake will be for the day. The rule is that I will only eat what’s in the containers that I store the day’s food in. One of my problems lately has been portion size. Every day I slowly increase my portion sizes. This will solve that problem.
Additionly, I will be implementing the 1/2 gallon water jug again. I keep complaining about not drinking enought water. Well, now the problem is solved. One of my concerns with drinking out of this jug is I’m not sure if it is a BPA free jug. Right now I don’t care. I’ve already consumed a lot of water out of this jug. Also, I have a gut feeling (no pun intended) that the BPA stuff may be a load of crap! I might be totally wrong, but I have to go with my gut.
Now about the exercise, I haven’t been doing enough lately, and I have to do some heavy workouts everyday to prepare for the 10k on Nov 7th. Here’s my schedule for this week:
- Mon/Wed/Fri morning: workout at Andy’s
- Tues/Thur afternoon: workout with Donnie at Fitness Together
- Mon/Wed/Fri afternoon: walk at least 2 miles
- Tues/Thur morning: walk at least 2 miles
- Weekend: work on hills and practice 2 mile portions of the 10k course (3 mile portions if I feel like it)
I’ll be logging my workouts on the dailymile.com site. The dailymile.com widget is on the right hand side of my blog.
It’s bedtime for me. I gotta wake up early tomorrow.
Have a great Monday! Make it count!

I will, it’s back to the gym for me tomorrow. I am going to rock out a one hour and ten minute ass busting free for all. I hope you do the same. Keep up the good work bud.

A 10K that’s great. Sounds like a great plan for controlling your portions. Keep on Keep’n on

The banner you have for that fitness center that’s helping you out is well made, good pic. If I loved near there, I’d give em a call!
Good luck with the portion sizing in the morning, it’ll be tough.

Keep it coming! How’s the weather been in the 205? I just started a low calorie diet. I think I’m getting used enough to it to start working out again without fainting!
The weather in the 205 stinks. You’re probably used to a lot of rain in Seattle, but it has been raining like 2-3 weeks here. It is not fun!
Oh dear, you fainted after your workouts?
Thank you.

I would not worry too much about the BPA jug. As long as you aren’t leaving water in it for ages before drinking and you aren’t heating water in it, I don’t think it’s a huge issue.
I still have a BPA water bottle that I use. It’s more important to get your water in than worrying about the little stuff. Besides, it’s greener to use what you have until it wears out than it is to chuck it in a landfill. At least that’s my take.
I mean, consider the car exhaust we all breathe. Or the plastics around us that outgas. It’s not good, but one simply isn’t going to escape all these things. Heaven only knows what crud is in our shampoos and what not that isn’t good for us. But stressing about it is probably worse.
The advance food prep will help you keep portions under control and save you time. You are rocking this, just keep going!
