Hump Day Update

This Week

I have not had a good week. Tonight my Mom brought home some Halloween candy and I ate a good amount of it. To top off the sweets, I haven’t worked out or walked this week. Fortunately, I have a workout scheduled with Donnie at Fitness Together tomorrow.

Fortunately, I’m gonna finish the week out strong. Not only do I work out tomorrow, I am meeting Trent McCool for lunch at the Fish Market. Trent is the guy that started the 300 pound challenge, and he’s one of those people that I always feel better after talking to him. I’ll definitely have some pics from lunch.

Hallow-Dega

I got some new info on taking pics at Talladega Superspeedway this weekend. We have got to be at the track by 5pm because they  convert all lanes  on the highway into one way exits from the track. Also, our press passes and parking passes are in the mail. Hopefully they’ll be in tomorrow. We don’t have to have our stuff setup until 7pm, so we’ll have some time to tour the track. I’m really excited. REALLY EXCITED!!!!!

Fitness Room

I’m still in the process of converting my junk room into a fitness room at the house. I’ll have the room empty this weekend. Next Thursday I’ll be picking up the used utility bench from Play it Again Sports in Hoover, AL. Eventually I’ll add a power rack, Olympic weight set, medicine ball, stepper, and lat attachment for power rack. To get some cash for the fitness room I am selling a nice drum set that I own.

Have a great Thursday!

We all have lapses. Just move on and forward. Consider a light calorie day, or lower carb day.

On the finances, hope things pick up. But if not, look around and see what you might could sell on eBay or Craigslist. See if you can arrange smaller payments with your creditors. See if there are any normal expenses that can be cut back. Do your best. If you have to take the bankruptcy route, well, that’s what it’s there for. Anyway, hang in there and try not to let things get you too down. Hope your workout goes well tomorrow!

WTF? Why is your mom bringing you candy anyway? That’s kind of messed up… Anywho, good luck with setting up your fitness room.

With so much on your mind this is the best time to focus on your plan, continue moving forward and leave the past in the past!

You’re healthier and happier today then you were a year ago and will be more so a year from now.

Stay strong!!!

Sounds like you have a lot going on, but it’s great to hear you’re going to finish the week out strong. Debt is debt and over time, everything will clear up. Just make sure you keep your health a top priority. Doing so puts a lot of stuff into perspective. Good luck!

Put it behind you and move on. If you dwell on it you’ll do more harm than good.

We all have ‘blips’ and the quicker we recover from them, the least damage done!

Definitely post about what stresses you – it helps enormously!

Have a great day. :)

Stephen, have you checked out Dave Ramsey? He and his “program” have been a boon to me regarding the debt issue. I found him about a year ago, I download his daily podcast and sometimes listen to him live via his website (his show doesn’t play in Minneapolis, but he streams it via his site). There’s nothing to buy unless you want his book (usually 25 bucks, though it goes on sale through his site for $10 fairly often). His whole Baby Steps program is freely available and can really help to at least give you a plan of attack on how to pay down your debts.

Good luck man – I hate it when one thing starts going wrong and everything else follows.

It’s too late to turn back now. I have seen it in you and you cannot escape now. It’s the new you that’s being birthed from this new life of fitness that you have found. I know what it looks like brother and you are ate up with it. Remember – we all have the down days – weeks – sometimes months…let’em fuel your intensity when you can get into the workouts again. The down times will become less and less as the new life style is adapted and accepted as your new reality.

Hey there,

I found your blog via the mention in Health Magazine’s 100 Healthiest Secrets and have enjoyed reading through it over the past few days. Thank you so much for sharing your story, it truly is inspiring!

Everyone has a bad day (or days…or months if you’re me lately!), but you CAN turn it around and finish the week well!
