You are doing well. The combinations of things probably contributed to this week's disappointment. Please don't let it discourage you! Step back up to the plate and conquer this week! I like the idea of weighing your food. Remember meat weights are based on pre-cooked (raw) weights not cooked weight. I also like that you acknowledge every day that you feel great after you work out. The others have a great point, push yourself every workout. When you think you can't go faster make yourself go faster. When you're tired and you want to stop go one more block or one more lap. That great after workout feeling will reward you ten-fold. We are all here cheering you on!

Hey, don't lose heart! you've done so well so far, you're definitely on the right track.

try to at least log your food, at a high level, if you don't think you'll have time to work out the exact calories etc... keeping a diary is really helpful to see what I've eaten over the day and where I might have gone wrong - but it is something that I'm lousy at doing!!

It might be muscle gain. You can't get disappointed with this though. You are not going to lose huge numbers every week. You can't be disappointed in the weeks that are "bad" weeks. Just pick up from here and keep doing the things you knows are good. The weight will come off.

Any or all of those reasons could result in a 'false' gain. Our bodies do things in their own time, and there have been weeks when I thought I should lose but gained, and weeks when the reverse was true.

Focus on your healthier habits and the weight will come off!

If you aren't already measuring/weighing your food, at least do the calorie-dense stuff. It will make a big difference.

yeah, please stephen, dont let it get you down. youve already dome some great stuff already. ill also be the first person to tell you that screwing up anything with those thyroid meds is a recipe for disaster. it just shuts down your metabolism. make sure you hurry and get a refill. and if you can afford it, get your levels tested to make sure youre at a tsh of 1 or 2.

Stephen, You are doing good. The biggest thing is that you are learning a whole new way to eat and live. This is huge! It's easier to change people's religion than it is to change their eating habits!

Trust me, what you've done thus far is nothing short of amazing. Don't put undue pressure on yourself...you are gonna get there, you know that.

Look how far you've come in your food choices. Weight is a way of quantifying... If you truly get healthier you will reach your true goal--fitness... and that is the only thing that matters in the end.

so sorry; I know how hard it is to get fixated on the number that is on the scale and how you want it to move down, down, down, down, down. I think you have a good point in measuring food and portions; sometimes we think we know what a portion size is but actually could end up eating 2-3 portion sizes in one setting

just keep on keeping on

betty
